時間短縮にもつながる忘れ物対策 「ポケット方式」

こんにちは。水口です。

一昨日の記事（↓）で、私が「名刺入れを忘れない」ために取っている
方法を紹介しましたが、今日はそれに関連した話。ビジネスパーソンの
「忘れ物防止」の話です。

「名刺」のマナーと「名刺入れ」忘れ対策


■　忘れ物防止に何かしていますか？

私は、自分で言うのも何ですが「忘れ物」をしやすい方だと思います。

とはいえ、仕事をしていると「すみません。忘れました」では済まないもの。
また、何かを忘れると「後で送ります」「後で確認します」などの二度手間
を招きますし、仕事がなかなか前に進まないという問題もあります。

・・・というわけで、自分なりに「忘れ物防止」の策を取っています。


たとえば、私が常時持ち歩いているものは、こんな感じ↓です。

・パソコン
・パソコンの電源（とそれ用の短いコード）
・Ｅモバイルの通信端末（Wimaxも試用中）
・ＩＣレコーダー（オーディオプレイヤー兼用）
・デジカメ
・ＩＣレコーダー用のヘッドフォン・マイク・替えバッテリー
・デジカメ用バッテリーと替えのＳＤカード
・名刺入れ
・付箋
・目薬（パソコン仕事には必須？）
・いつも使うペン（３種）の替芯
・携帯用のステープラー（ホッチキス）
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
・・・等々、細かいものはまだあるのですが、ざっとこんな感じです。
（講演や研修のときにはレーザーポインターとレシーバーも追加します）


■　「ハトが豆食ってパ方式」や「チェックリスト方式」以外の方法を！

これらを「忘れない」ためには、「ハトが豆食ってパ」方式では難しい。
かといって「チェックリスト方式」は（毎日のことだけに）できれば避けたい。
というのが私の希望でした。

※　「ハトが豆食ってパ」というのは・・・
　　ハンカチ・時計・ガマグチ（財布）・名刺・櫛（など）・手帳・パス（定期）
　　の頭文字を取ったもの。「ハトが豆食ってパ」の順に忘れ物がないか
　　チェックするという方法です。（←「昭和のビジネスマン」テクニック？）
　　この方法が「うっかり防止」に有効なのは今も変わりませんが、
　　項目が多くなりすぎると難しいですね。


というわけで取った対策は、カバンの中のポケットを利用したり、自作の
ポケットを追加したりすることでした。何かが無ければ（ポケットが空なら）、
気づくという方式です。


■　「ポケット方式」の特徴とメリット

私はもともと、几帳面な方ではありませんし、整理好きでもありません。
それなのに、このカバンを見た人には「几帳面な人」と思われるようで
（確かに・・・そう見えるかも）、ちょっと変な気もします。

あくまで個人的な意見ですが・・・、私は「整理好きな人の整理法」や、
「きれいに見せる」ことを目的とした整理法はちょっと苦手・・・。「手間が
かかる割に効果がないかも？」と疑念を持つと継続できないタイプです。
（というのは言い訳で、本当は「ものぐさ」なだけなのですが・・・（汗））

そんな私も、このポケット方式は、かなり効果を感じていますし、
一手間かけた甲斐はあったと感じています。


さて、この「ポケット方式」について、よくよく考えてみると・・・、
先の「マメ食ってパ」や「チェックリスト」とは正反対の方法と気づきます。

簡単にいうと、

　「マメ食って」や「チェックリスト」　→　物が「ある」ことを確認する方式

　「ポケット方式」　→　物が「ない」ことに気づく仕組み

ということです。

物が「ない」ことに気づく仕組み、これはある種の「見える化」でもあります。
実際やっている実感としては、「ポケット方式」の方が素早く確認できるし
（これもある種の時間節約）、実際に忘れ物防止効果も高い。急いでいる
ときなどの「気の焦り」も少なくなります。

・・・等々、メリットが多くて、なかなかおすすめの方法だと思います。
時間のあるときに、試してみるといいかもしれませんね。


※　ちなみに、ここでは便宜上「ポケット方式」なんて呼んでいますが、この
　　 方法は私が考えたというわけではありません。工場の現場などで工具
　　 等を収納する方法を、自分のカバンに応用したものです。
